| Bishop Bruce Wright's property, Tampa Florida. We were privileged to visit the good Bishop's house for his birthday celebration, and services at his church the next day. If you're socked in by snow and cold, try closing your eyes and imagining his front yard. The sounds you hear are the cicadas buzzing, and the rumble of thunder finally leaving the area. Because of the rains, the air is thick with humidity (and there's an occasional whiff of the Bishop's fine cigar smoke) When I was there, I felt like the centuries-old oak trees (laden with Spanish moss) took me back to a different place and time in the old south. |
